J.Crew – Digital Experience Concepts

OVERVIEW

As part of a client pursuit for J.Crew, my team explored J.Crew’s existing eCommerce website to inform responsive web and native app redesign concepts.

The goal of this work was to prepare assets and materials for a presentation to J.Crew executives with the goal of helping them establish a digital retail roadmap.

PROCESS

The creative processs I employed included:

  • In-depth competitive analysis of digital experiences offered by competing retail brands in the apparel space.
  • Heuristic evaluation of J.Crew eCommerce website to reveal usability issues and areas of improvement.
  • Contextual observation and interviews with J.Crew employees to reveal insights about the existing in-store experience.
  • Iteration with visual designers and mobile strategists to devise retail scenarios enhanced with digital technology.
  • Design of userflows and wireframes to inform visual design of responsive web breakpoints and native app experiences.
