AWS CodeDeploy was the first product in a new line of AWS cloud computing tools designed to improve developer productivity in the cloud by providing a simple, automated web application to deploy application code to instances in the cloud, track deployment health, minimize downtime, and improve efficiency for repeated application releases.
As the product design lead, I was responsible for taking the product from concept to launch by striking the right balance between technical constraints and customer expectations and designing a web application that eliminated the complexity of manual deployment tasks while providing control and customization. AWS CodeDeploy was launched in November of 2014.
